Criminal mind

Watching Criminal mind recently which is about profilling by narrowing down the criteria of criminal and guessing what is their next step to prevent crime. The profilling are based on biopsychosocial and is to understand a person through their external behaviour.

The theme seem quite "Freud" which most criminals were shaped by their childhood experiences, fall in love with parents and unconscious mind.

The team of FBI BAU is analytical and influencial by using their knowledge of behavioural science. However, the more it goes, the team who analysed others were eventually started to analyse their team members and themselves. They were influenced by their own knowledge of behavioural science in return. Study themselves, analyse everyone around them.

Is it normal? What is the feeling when the moment you observe a person, you know what they feel and what they think? Will you be troubled?

Or it was just movie and not in reality?

People called me psycho when they know that i am studying psychology. I think I am insane. If not, i will not study psychology and analyse myself. Insane in terms of abnormal. Why didn't I choose an easier normal path?

A friend said " it seem like who choose to study psychology are people who has their unbearable past."
